HRH Prince Ebrahim – Chairman

HRH Prince Ebrahim of Gambia holds the revered title of The Farim Batelling, becoming the 8th “Sibi Karang Mansa” (The Sacred Custodian) following a grand coronation on November 26, 2017, at the Mansa Kunda (Royal Household) in Batelling.

This honored position is rooted in the historical Soninke Royal Realm, established in 1307, over 800 years old as of 2020. This royal order and blood lineage trace back to the esteemed ruling dynasties of the Mali and Kaabu Empires. As “Sibi Karang Mansa,” Prince Ebrahim fulfills a threefold mandate:

° safeguarding sacred sites

° championing the preservation of his people’s history, culture, and heritage

° spearheading socio-economic advancement for his community

With a keen mind for strategic development economics, Prince Ebrahim has notably contributed to advisory roles and the successful structuring of deals in significant international development project financings, public sector enterprise reforms, including divestitures and privatization, and public policy and management enhancements. His consulting services extend to numerous African Governments, multinational organizations, and NGOs, cementing his reputation as a leading development economist and sovereign government advisor.

As an investor focused on African markets, Prince Ebrahim’s expertise encompasses crossborder risk, security, settlement, and intelligence analysis. He lends his leadership as Chairman and board member to numerous companies throughout Africa, with ventures in diverse sectors such as agriculture, aviation, commodities, financial services, retail, sports, infrastructure, media, transportation and logistics, oil and gas, marine, manufacturing, and real estate.

A passionate environmentalist and philanthropist, Prince Ebrahim’s influence stretches beyond the borders of Gambia, positively impacting lives and communities across the African continent. As the Chief Patron of the Royal Koring Council and the Manding Heritage Society, he plays a crucial role in the cultural and historic restoration efforts. Furthermore, his contributions to education and youth empowerment are evident in his roles as the Eminent Chancellor of the Consular and Diplomatic Services University in Ghana, Patron of the International Youth Diplomacy Conference, and the Confederation of West African Youths, among others.

Prince Ebrahim’s deep-seated commitment to philanthropy is epitomized by his founding of the Prince Ebrahim Future Africa Foundation (PEFAF), a charitable organization dedicated to empowering African communities towards self-sufficiency and independence by providing necessary tools, knowledge, skills, and resources.

Prince Ebrahim’s scholarly pursuits have provided him with a diverse and solid educational foundation. He holds degrees in Information System Design and Production, a BSc in Human Geography, a BA in Public Policy and Management, an MBA in Strategy and Procurement Management, and an MA in International Diplomacy and Business.
